MPTC Tour of Luzon 2026: A Heritage in Motion
Building on last year’s triumphant comeback through The Great Revival, this year’s edition celebrates not only the return of one of the Philippines’ most historic cycling races, but also the living legacy that continues to move forward with every pedal stroke. “Heritage in Motion” reflects the enduring spirit of the Tour of Luzon, where tradition, culture, and competition travel together across the nation’s roads.
For generations, the Tour has stood as a proving ground for cyclists and a unifying spectacle for communities across Luzon, embodying the passion and resilience that define Philippine cycling.
The Tour of Luzon 2026 will unfold across 14 demanding stages, spanning five regions and 13 provinces, as riders take on a grueling test of strength, endurance, and strategy. From April 29 to May 13, 2026, an anticipated field of elite cyclists from around the globe will battle across Luzon’s diverse terrain. Brutal climbs, unforgiving distances, and the relentless heat of the Philippine summer will once again transform the race into a true spectacle on wheels.
But the Tour of Luzon has always been more than the race itself. As the peloton passes through towns and cities, it carries with it the pride and energy of the communities along the route. From the support of local leaders to the cheers of roadside crowds, these places form the living backbone of the Tour and turn every stage into a celebration of culture, tradition, and shared identity.
Presented by Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation and organized by SDMI Sports and MAD Management Inc, the 2026 edition promises a race worthy of its legacy, bigger, tougher, and more meaningful than ever before.
As the riders return to the road, the MPTC Tour of Luzon once again becomes more than a sporting event. It becomes a moving story of heritage, endurance, and national pride, a summer spectacle where the past and the future of Philippine cycling race forward together.
