The MPTC Tour of Luzon 2026 Team Time Trial Stage 2 began at 10:00 AM from CDC Parade Grounds and finished at New Clark City Athletic Stadium, covering a total distance of 43.4 kilometers, where the Seoul Cycling Team dominated the stage, setting an impressive record time of 56:35.
The Koreans surged to the top of the rankings, effectively pushing other teams down the standings. Key riders Kyeong Ho, Lee Jung Hoon, Jung Woo Ho, and Lee Jin Gu secured the early triumph.
The Team Time Trial offered a contrast to the massed start road cycling event. Instead of racing individually, riders competed as a unit, working together against the clock.
MPT DriveHub and Malaysia followed, clocking second and third at this point. As teams continued to arrive, the intensity remained high, with squads accelerating toward the finish. Seoul Cycling Team maintained its momentum, while ranking shifts became more evident. LCW joined the frontrunners alongside the lone Filipino squad, MPT DriveHub.
By 11:25 AM, MPT continued to show determination but was eventually overtaken by later finishers. The Team Time Trial stage concluded with Seoul Cycling Team firmly holding their lead, refusing to surrender their position. Meanwhile, Filipino teams such as Excellent Noodles Cycling Team and Standard Insurance Philippines demonstrated resilience and competitive spirit, embodying the enduring strength of Filipino cycling.
The final rankings were confirmed after the last two riders crossed the line, with Seoul Cycling Team, Excellent Noodles, and Standard Insurance Philippines securing top positions.

As an official part of the general classification, today’s times will significantly impact the overall standings. Stage 3 of the tour will begin tomorrow, starting from New Clark City and heading to Palayan City, covering 145.4 kilometers.
Present during the awarding were Arrey Perez, CEO and Chief Organiser of the MPTC Tour of Luzon 2026; Prof. Francis Carlos Diaz, Executive Director III of the National Academy of Sports; and Regional Director Richard Daenos, PhD, of the Department of Tourism Region III, all of whom graced the ceremony and showed their support for the successful staging of Team Time Trial.
Tomorrow jersey wearers include Basalyn Sumiso in the white jersey, Ronald Oranza in the polka dot jersey, Nikita Shulchenko in the green jersey, and Yousef Ibrahim Alrefai in the yellow jersey as a symbol of dominating the first spot among their opponents.
At this stage of the tour, the competition remains wide open, with every team still in contention.
