Manila, Philippines – The 2026 MPTC Tour of Luzon, dubbed “Heritage in Motion,” is set to make history as it offers the biggest prize pool in its eight-decade run, highlighted by a ₱2 million cash prize for the Team General Classification Champion and ₱1 million for the winner of the Individual General Classification, according to a statement made by Chief Organizer and CEO Arrey Perez.

Aiming to push forward Philippine cycling on a larger stage, the Tour makes a significant step up in its competitive stakes. Beyond the champions, teams placing 2nd through 10th in the General Classification will take home prizes from ₱1.5 million to ₱100,000; while individuals placing 2nd to 10th will receive prizes from ₱500,000 to ₱100,000. Jersey champions are also set to receive cash prizes. The Sprint King will earn ₱300,000 while the Best Young Rider will receive ₱200,000. The overall Eagle of the Mountain (King of the Mountain/KOM) champion, or the cyclist winning the most number of KOM across identified stages, will win P350,000.

In addition to the overall classifications, each stage will feature special awards recognizing standout performances, including the Best Young Rider (Under 23), Best Sprint, and Most Combative Rider, alongside the awarding of the most coveted Yellow Jersey to the stage leader.
