San Juan, Philippines — The organizers of the MPTC Tour of Luzon 2026 reaffirmed their partnership with Cardinal Santos Medical Center (CSMC) as the Official Medical Partner for the country’s premier cycling event during a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony held at CSMC Event Hall.

The renewed partnership ensures top-notch medical support for cyclists competing in this year’shighly challenging edition of the MPTC Tour of Luzon, scheduled from April 29 to May 13, 2026. Now in its second year, the partnership underscores a shared commitment to athlete safety, world- class medical preparedness, and the continued growth of competitive cycling in the Philippines.

Under the agreement, Cardinal Santos Medical Center will deploy comprehensive medical support during the multi-stage race, including: Two (2) fully equipped ambulances stationed along the race route for rapid response, Two (2) teams of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers per ambulance to address any medical emergencies involving athletes, officials, or staff and dedicated trauma doctor assigned to oversee critical care needs and ensure immediate medical intervention when required.

The event started with opening remarks from Cardinal Santos Vice President and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Antonio S. Say, who reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to supporting the race and ensuring the welfare of all participants. “Cycling at this level tests the limits of the human body. From fatigue and dehydration to the risks that come with high-speed competition, medical preparedness becomes a crucial part of the race. That is why Cardinal Santos Medical Center, together with our partner hospitals across Luzon, will have medical teams ready along the route—prepared to respond quickly and professionally whenever the need arises.”
